Meet the Speakers

Danny Roberts

He is from Rugby, Warwickshire. He studies Film Production and TV at college. Started riding in 2010 and found himself judging contests from 2012, whilst landing professional contracts from 2014 - 2024. He set up his own business at 18, Supreme Scooters running a physical and online store, where a few years later realised there was a gap in the market, so went on to launch his own brand, Supremacy Scooters which was established in 2015 - 2024. However, it was coaching and judging that was the main drive and judges typically 10 plus contests a year, all over the world to help shape the future of the sport. World Skate debut was in 2022, Buenos Aires and since then, become the head judge for freestyle scootering.

Sohvi Puska

Sohvi Puska is a Finnish scootering judge who holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and is currently pursuing a career in Physical Education. She is a member of the Finnish Scooter Association and serves as a Head Judge at Finnish scootering competitions. In addition to World Skate competitions, she has also judged at the Nordic Championships. Having ridden scooters for almost 15 years, she has developed extensive experience within the sport both as an athlete and as a judge. Sohvi began judging scootering competitions in 2021 and advanced to World Skate level events in 2022 at the World Skate Games in Argentina. Since then, she has continued to judge World Skate competitions internationally. In the course, she teaches Lesson 2: Progression, and Lesson 7: Post-Competition.

Jay Doorty

Jay Doorty is an Australian and international scooter judge who has played a leading role in the development of competitive scootering in Australia. He serves as Australia's Head Judge for scootering and has officiated at major international events, including World Skate competitions. Jay is President of the Melbourne and Brisbane Scooter Club's and is actively involved in growing the sport through athlete development, judging education, and event management. Recognised for his contribution to officiating and judge education, he teaches Professionalism (Lesson 3) and Park Scootering (Lesson 5) alongside Danny Roberts in the World Skate education programme. His focus is on promoting fair, consistent, and transparent judging while supporting the continued growth of scootering worldwide.

Lewis Crampton

Lewis Crampton is British and currently serves as Sports Manager at World Skate, overseeing the department while specialising in the development of Scootering. A former professional scooter rider from 2010 to 2017, Lewis has been involved in the discipline since 2005 as a competitor, event organiser, team manager and, now, within the International Federation. He spent ten years as a judge and head judge, contributing to the development and implementation of many of the principles and procedures used in competitions today. Lewis joined World Skate in 2022 as Chair of the European Technical Commission before becoming Sports Coordinator in 2023 and Sports Manager in 2025. Drawing on his extensive judging experience and current knowledge of the federation's procedures and strategic objectives, Lewis developed and supported the Judges Academy project and appears at the beginning and end of the Academy recordings in Lessons 1 and 7.
